DDHR Student Research, Training, and Travel Award – 2022

The DDHR Research and Travel Award is awarded to an eligible student (undergraduate or graduate) to support the costs of research or training, including travel, on a DDHR-related project. The 2022 award amount is $500.00.

DEADLINE: March 15th, 2022

Awards announced: April 1st, 2022

Eligibility Guidelines:

  • Undergraduate applicants must be declared DDHR concentration majors in Anthropology

  • Graduate applicants must be participating in the DDHR certificate program and earning a degree in Anthropology

  • The award comes as a scholarship, and must be used to support research and training costs for a DDHR-related project, such as travel to a research site, research expenses, or costs associated with specialized training. Travel to present research at conferences or for equipment will be considered but not prioritized.

  • Applicants who have not previously received the DDHR-RTT will be prioritized.

 

DDHR Student Research, Training, and Travel Award

  • Please provide a narrative of no more than 500 words explaining how the award money will be used to advance their research and training on a DDHR-related project or issue.
  • Please provide a budget showing how the money will be used and any additional funds secured or sought.
  • Please upload a current CV showing any record of previous research, training, and travel awards received at UTK. The CV must also list the student’s adviser’s name and email address under “References.”
