Anna was born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina. They earned a BA in biology & archaeology from the College of Charleston. While obtaining their Bachelor’s degree, they worked on archaeological projects at a Late Woodland Phase site in Illinois and a mid-19th-century kitchen site in Charleston, South Carolina. In addition, they studied abroad in Taipei, Taiwan, to deepen their understanding of prehistoric Taiwan and learn Mandarin Chinese. They have knowledge of basic faunal analysis, flotation, and DAACS ceramic identification.
