Christine Bailey
PhD Student | Biological Anthropology
Christine earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biological Anthropology with a concentration in Disasters, Displacement, and Human Rights in 2015 and her Master of Arts in Biological Anthropology, specializing in Forensic Anthropology, from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2018. Her thesis, “Age-at-death Estimation: Accuracy and Reliability of Age-Reporting Strategies,” examined age-at-death estimation methods commonly used in forensic investigations. Christine has served as the Forensic Anthropology Facilities Curator and Instructor at Western Carolina University and recently managed the Biological Anthropology Collections, including the Hamann-Todd Collection, at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History. Her research interests broadly include skeletal biology, forensic anthropology, human rights, and best practices in the field.
