Tempest D. Mellendorf

Tempest graduated in 2021 from Northern Arizona University with a B.A. in Anthropology with an emphasis in Archaeology and a minor in biology. As an undergraduate, she participated in an archaeological field school called the Belize Valley Archaeological Reconnaissance Project at the Maya site of Xunantunich. She also completed an internship at the Coconino County Office of the Medical Examiner where she shadowed and assisted medicolegal death investigators, forensic technicians, and forensic pathologists. In May of 2023, Tempest graduated with an M.S. in Forensic and Biological Anthropology from Mercyhurst University. As a graduate student, she was a member of the Mercyhurst Forensic Search and Recovery Team (M-FSRT) where she participated in forensic search and recovery, forensic analysis, and case report writing.
