Arielle Zohara Sperber is a doctoral student in biological anthropology, with research interests in identity and the ability for biological anthropology to serve as a scientific arm for human rights work.

Arielle earned her BA in Anthropology at the University of California, Los Angeles. During her time in LA, she worked for the Fowler Museum at UCLA, facilitating domestic and international repatriation efforts; participated in various archaeological projects, including CRM work and the Coral Redondo Archaeological Project; and worked for the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency as a case coordinator. She then earned her MA in anthropology from Chico State, during which she conducted forensic anthropology casework, forensic excavations, and mass fatality recoveries as part of the Chico State Human Identification Lab Search and Recovery Team. There, she also conducted extensive research on rapid DNA and its utility as a disaster victim identification tool in burn scenarios.
