Kinsey is a PhD student in biological anthropology under Amy Mundorff. Her dissertation research examines the role sex and gender play in death investigation, specifically the processes used by medical examiners and coroners when investigating the death of a transgender person. In addition to her studies, she worked as an autopsy technician at the Knox County Regional Forensic Center from 2015 to 2021. During her time at the KCRFC, she also served as part of the KCRFC’s anthropology recovery team.
