Danny received her BA in Anthropology and Sociology at Denison University in 2023. Her thesis, “The Body: Human Remains and Gender Relationships Throughout Medieval Ireland” explored the archaeological conception of the body using gender in medieval Ireland throughout the English colonization as a case study. Her current research focuses on violence discourse in bioarcheology and aims to build upon current epistemological frameworks for decolonizing research on violence. Danny also worked for the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA) department at Ohio History Connection as an osteology intern. Her research interests include decolonial theory and practice, agency, violence, macroscopic health indicators, and sex/gender.
