Mae Manis

MA Student | Anthropological Archaeology

Pronouns: she/her

Chair: Dr. Kandace Hollenbach

Mae’s research interests include food and medicine ways, Indigenous North America, and a passion for the representation of those historically underrepresented. Mae is a proud non-traditional student: Before finding her love for Anthropology, she was a lactation consultant, full-time mom, and an addiction and recovery counselor who has called Tennessee “home” most of her life. She is also an avid fiber artist, loves to travel, and continues to hold a passion for social work.
