Mary Katherine Brown

PhD student | Anthropological Archaeology

Preferred pronouns: she/her

Mary Katherine received her B.A. in Anthropology/Sociology and Political Economy in 2023 from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, and her MA at the University of Tennessee in 2025. During her time at Rhodes, Mary Katherine was involved in fieldwork on historic sites in West Tennessee and on a prehistoric site in Southeastern Hungary. Her research interests include historic archaeology, foodways, African diaspora, and historic ceramics.
